Location: Budd Lake, NJ | Eight years ago today, my blue-eyed carpenter lost his battle with cancer. (But his beautiful Ovation isn't silent--she still makes the music he loved so much.)
So, for those of you who have a HWMBP, a SWMBO, or TWMBP (Those Who Must Be [grand]Parented), be sure you take time today to let them know how much you love them.
And anyone who may need a hug, let me know--I'll be glad to send you one.

Location: Rego Park, NY, | Thank you for the reminder Karen. I have been giving my wife hugs lately. We all need a kick in the butt every now and then though. It's good to jump start the brain. Just think of the group hug we all could have had at your place this past weekend. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Last December was the second time I saw the C word in an MRI report regarding SWMBO. The first time turned out insignificant. The second time was a nonmalignant brain tumor. After months of tests and a series of radiation treatments at the end of the summer, the tumor is still there, but apparently dead. Yesterday we received the good news that everything was paid by insurance.
SWMBO used the money we expected to pay to pay off her car instead and I can stop feeling guilty about buying the #47. Cancer is a scary thing even if it doesn't turn out badly. |

Very moving statements, I couldn't agree more, sometimes we really do need a reminder to keep our eye on what's really important, and treasure every moment with our loved ones.
Iffy, your "musical hug" was very moving, thanks.
Here's one right back at you all:
