And we all know that is more important than how good you play (:
Hahah well said Vince. Thanks for all the great comments guys - they've made me much more confident that I'm buying a guitar that I won't want to turn around and resell.

The guitar is supposed to be shipped out today - I will definitely post a picture or two when I get it along with my thoughts on it!

I'm on it. But the seller's out of town right now. I didn't think I would replace my Burst 1537 this quickly, but for that price?

You'd be stealing it.

When it comes to Ovations, people often don't realize what they have......

Animus - Did you pass up the Adamas 1597 RG in favor of this?!?

If so methinks you missed the boat - the 1597 would blow this away soundwise, and the mid bowl strikes a happy medium for fit. (*ahem*)

Ahh yes - no I wanted that one. However, it's my understanding someone else offered him more than I was willing to pay. So now I'm going to try this one :)

I would love to have an Adamas though...love the look. But we'll see how this CL feels.

I still haven't heard from the seller yet...just talked to his wife. If he can't ship, maybe you can pick it up and babysit it for a while? Would that take some of the sting out of it?

Oh...

And thanks...to both you and Moody! I thought it would be a LOONNGGG time before I had another chance at one of these. Like most of the OFC, I usually hear about these great deals right when I don't have the cash to do anything about it.

Patch, My post was half "Tongue in Cheek" as they say. Yeah, I would love to have one someday, but, unfortunately, I've been selling. Had 10 a year + ago, just sold 1 this weekend and may sell another tommorrow which will leave me 3 O's and one very special electric my son plays. If you need help getting it I'd be happy to help you. Let me know. :)

In the interests of keeping folks informed, I'm gonna have to let this 1537 go. :( I've just got too many irons cooking right now guitar-wise to navigate another purchase. I've talked to the owner, he says the only blemish is a 1-inch finish crack in the lower bout. Someone else have at it. It's worth every penny and then some.
