Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I bought a Roland Micro-Cube; the little thing is unreal...Running the OFC II thru it on the acoustic setting is incredible: I have a little chorus and reverb dialed in and mixed with the acoustic sound of the guitar it sounds great...Lots of fun! I'm going to mic it and do some recording of the sound...Anybody other than Tim (TnT) tried one yet? |

I have a MicroCube and a CubeStreet, plus another NIB MicroCube for a spare.
They are great little toys.
Every setting you will need for a little 2 watt amp. (The CubeStreet is 5w)
But for those of you that haven't tried one... The MicroCube is pretty LOUD for 2 watts.
Back in the ole daze, everybody had Pig-noses...
Now everyone has Cubes! |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | OMA, I have an original Pignose...but the wiring needs to be gone thru...I did a festival concert years ago where we had to wait to set up and didn't have much space so I used the Pignose miked and direct thru the big house PA w/a Gibson w/p90's and an ole Washburn Stack-in-the-Box...people kept looking for the Marshall stack...lol...they couldn't believe the sound out of that small box...I liked how you could change the sound by opening the back of the cab: closed, partially open, full open...great stuff and fun...
The Micro is so versatile...really not so much a toy if you run it direct or mike it... |

I have a Micro too... got it at a trade show the year they came out.
Pretty stinkin cool for something you can slap a few batteries in and carry around on a shoulder strap while you play. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I installed the iDea last night: spent all afternoon experimenting with it through the amps and PA...what a lot of fun! Thanks Al for the great price and Tim for showing it to me in the first place... OFC II and iDea: Add the Roland Micro Cube and it's a jam ready package to take anywhere...Very Cool! |
