For the most part probably personal opinion more than fact. There's no doubt better ones out there but I personally find the iphone app pretty good, at least to my ears. Definately better than the ovation pre-amp tuners. But every ones ears are different. Call me old fashioned, but at home I usually try to just tune to the piano.

Anyway it's a nice strobe tuner with input boost and a noise filter. It works well and is especially handy since if I'm out, I've got it. Oh yeah, my iPhone is 2G and it works great.

Muzz you think all tuners are crap. Now that I'm approaching the saggy end of middle aged I'm finding my ears are starting to let me down, so a good iPhone tuner is on the cards.

Then get a Seiko STM20 tuner clip, it will fit any head stock. Now you can always get in tune and you'll be within 3 cents. It really makes a difference, if the G is 3 cents flat and the B 3 cents sharp it will sound bad and with the meter you can see that and fix it. I've been using this for about a year and nothing will replace it.
