I guess Morrison agreed to change the words "girl we couldn't get much higher" to something else that the drug censors wouldn't take offense to, and then sang the real words anyway. Ed Sullivan refused to shake their hands or even recognize their performance when they were done. Hooray for the counter culture ... and that they didn't wimp out. |
