Joined: October 2006 Posts: 5576 Location: big island | there are several regulated koa forests here on big island. it is virtually unavailable on the other hawaiian islands except for some downed trees on kaua'i from hurricane iniki in '92. most of that was state owned land and they sell it in small quantities to local artisans. it seems there is about enough koa to keep up with demand at the current levels, but along with all else, it is getting more expensive. | ||
