Take a look at what's happened to my Bubinga Custom Elite, Craftsman Elite, and Book Elite. Buffalo Bone tuner buttons accent the ivoroid binding and abalone trim of the BB Elite very nicely don't you think? And the rosewood buttons on the Craftsman pick up right where that incredibly figured fretboard leaves off. And finally, Buffalo Bone buttons on my Book Elite add just the right amount of contrast to the abalone trim while adding a little continuity from that awesomely slate black ebony fretboard. All I can say now is "Thanks Al!"

I miss those good old days. They ended before I got a chance to go on the tour. I would have gone just to bug Al about his plans for the next one.

I got some of Al's picks ... buffalo bone, buffalo horn, rosewood, and ebony. Man, it sure is fun using different picks on different guitars with different strings and getting all kinds of different tones. Do all Ovations sound the same? Not in bobboworld.

But today, the weather was stellar! I've uploaded new pics of the "Book" Elite and the Bubinga Elite on my ning page. The Craftsman (along with my 1538) will head for the factory later for spa treatments, so I won't update them until later. It really is amazing how something as minor as tuner buttons can change the aesthetics of the whole instrument!
