I need some shims in a variety of thickness for my wide-saddle Adamas and AD 1769. The Mothership supplied one for each: an excellent, dense material. What do you guys use or recommend? Is there a kit?

The factory will send you a bunch of shims for the asking. Email KK with your address and request.

Thanks Fly. If you'd remind me of KK's email, I'd appreciate it. In the meantime I'll take Cliff's suggestion of snipping an old credit card. Don't got no credit anyway!

I don't have it handy. Perhaps someone else could pm it to you.

I've used the ex-CC idea successfully more than once after Kim suggested it to me. First time in my life the things have been truly useful.

I know I've mentioned this before, but a credit card is sometimes too thick. If you need thinner material, go to the store and buy one of those plastic "open", "for sale" or whatever signs. The small (about 12X9) ones are thinner than the larger (about 18X12) ones, but both are thinner than a credit card. I bought some for use here in the shop and they'll probably last me the rest of my life.
