Even though the cost of a hand-laid fiberglass bowl would be more, it's easy to see how it would cost less in labor to just replace the bowl than to do what it takes to remove the top from the bowl and replace it. There is nothing about an original bowl that makes it worth more than a new bowl. We've seen here how, as a labor of love, a member has carefully removed a bad top and replaced it with a new one. Such a job is a worthwhile "labor of love", but not if you're paying the service dept. to do it.

The question is whether it is worth the time, effort, and $ to rehab this thing. The guitar is pretty close to what I would want out of a custom order, but I cannot come close to affording the custom order. I'm wondering if it might be a nicely affordable option to put a new top on an otherwise good Adamas.
