This is an awesome guitar. And I am particularly happy that I managed to grab it.
The choice of sounds between the Viper P'ups and the undersaddle Piezo are great Fun!
That thing that looks like a missing switch on the front is a plug-in for 9v power for the preamp.
That is more Woody creativity.
Woody sent me a "Y" cable... I didn't realize it's importance.
I have a Roland "Cube Street" which has a Mic channel and a Guitar channel.
So I can plug the piezo side into the mic channel which has Delay/Reverb...
And plug the magnetic Viper p'up side into the side with the DSP emulators!
I can do all that and pretend that I can actually play the guitar!

The guitar itself is really Purdy. This is a one-of-a-kind guitar.
Plus it has the Breadwinner/Deacon shape. This is the definitive Ovation Solid-Body shape.
Kinda like epaulets, this is distinctly Ovation. It is just so Kewel! :D

Now I need to get back to playing with my new toy.

Actually I play pretty quietly. And it is still quite early on the Left Coast.

To continue my report--

The Breadwinner/Deacon body shape is one of the most Comfortable I have ever played!

Besides Eastwood, why haven't more companies tried to copy/clone it?

Actually several have over the years. There were at least two before Eastwood, but their names elude me. Someone else will likely have the links.

I discovered this website... Building the Ergonomic Guitar
They have some interesting guitars that lean towards the Deacon/Breadwinner design.

As to some other BW Clones, Shamway and Klien come to mind...
But only because I saw them while looking through webland.
Oh, and Forshage...

That's quite a catch, OMA. And I agree totally about the comfort of the shape - standing or sitting.

The best part is seeing the Boyful smile on OMA's face!

It would be nice to see Mother put out a Deacon VXT retro themselves. Slice it and hollow it out like the Messina Deacon.

Hint, hint, nod, nod...

That is a P-Series, P-36.
Bolt-on neck, piezo bridge, made in Indonesia.
I got it "On Sale" after Parker decided that imports were bad for it's image... (Uh, Fender?)
Nice Tele-Clone if you see one for cheap.
