I know this is an Off Topic thread.
I am interested in buying a good 57 or thereabouts T Bird and importing to Oz.
Any ideas?

Me, too. Here we go again. You want something you can drive everyday, only for parades, or enter shows with and collect trophies? You want a project car to restore yourself, and if so, to what level? You can get into everyday drivers for $20's, parade cars for $30s, and local trophy winners for $60s and up. 100 point restorations and totally original low mileage rare E-Birds will be well into six figures . . . as seen on the Barret-Jackson auctions. Check out the Bay. Shipping could be horrendous.

I used to shovel snow for a lady in Wisconsin that was either widowed or divorced. She had one of those in her garage. Besides the fact that she paid well, I made sure I got to shovel her driveway so I could look in the garage windows at the T-Bird. I can't remember why she wanted her driveway shoveled, since I'm sure she didn't take the Bird out in the snow. Maybe she did. It was only a 5 or 6 year old car then.
