Right now, I'm working on "The Last Supper" and "Everything's Alright" from "Jesus Christ Superstar". Eventually I want to learn all the guitar parts to all the songs from that musical. May take me a year, but I'm gonna do it.

Just saw "A Song's Best Friend -- John Denver Remembered" on PBS (again). I'll probably pick up one of his songs (again).

I also want to learn "Turn, Turn, Turn" and "Bad Moon Rising".

I think I'm in kind of a rut though. I seem to be stuck in the past!

Oh... I am moving up towards the present.

"She Talks To Angels" is pretty new ain't it? (only 20 years old?)

You have to re-tune to play it, but the folks at the MAX train station liked it yesterday.

Nice to see you back here, Styll. We've missed you. Sorry to hear about the back and such, hopefully you're past all the bad stuff.

We need some more material from you. Gone But Not Forgotten was up on the SongOfTheDay thread. Keep us posted on the progress of your new work.

Stay cool brother.

Yeah Styll, definitely good to see you back in action.

I always the thought the "styllstanding" was really clever.

Look forward to some new tunes!

Welcome back Styll. I was wondering what had happened to you.

Slipkid, are you still there? Lots of good suggestions above. Do any take your fancy?

Okay okay... I'm here already.

Maybe not directly but when I hear that Bobbo is working on Lay Lady Lay I know I want to learn a Dylan song. Same with Bad Moon Rising.

I'm also reminded of the diversity we have here. I'm just a guy who works on songs. Guys like Styll work on music.

We are starting Santa Morena for two classical guitars and a violin (instead of the mandolin you see here). Its a bit tricky.

For me..

"City of New Orleans"... I don't think there have been more vivid, lyrical images written about America. Right up there with "This Land Is Your Land".
I was riding on The City Of New Orleans when you posted this. I was between Yazoo City MS. and Jackson MS.
