| I really wasn't trying to step on Jukebox Joe's entry, but I was nearly done producing my own vid when he posted his. I hate to leave things unfinished, so I completed it, and just got word that it's been approved and posted.

Location: Miami | Moody, G8r, what's your opinion on the OP-PRO v the VIP? I love the OP-PRO better than any of its predecessors and I wasn't really impressed with the OP-PRO Studio, and I've never messed with the VIP but it looks interesting.
BTW if Moody enters the contest, I'll vote for him even though he's... you know... moody. |

Location: SoCal | Joe, I've only played with the OP Pro. It's basically a modern version of the OP24 w/ a tuner. I've never really been motivated by the OP Pro Studio or the OP VIP. The fact that you have to plug them in to use the tuner has always been a turn off for me. But I understand the features are really good.... |

The OP-Pro is probably the best pre-amp. Like Moddy, I think it's ridiculous that you have to plug it in (or give the XLR a wet willie) to use the tuner. The modeling DSP on the VIP is nice, but figuring them all out can be overwhelming, and I rarely use more than a couple of the models, and then at about 50% wet anyway. I wouldn't replace it, but if I ordered a guitar I'd choose the Pro over the VIP. |
