Location: europe | i thought that the slotheads only had the batterie cover on the side and the first production run had it decentral at the back.
i have a book american guitars from tom wheeler which includes an ovation chapter. there is a photo of an adamas I which has the batterie cover of a slothead but the peghead of the production run.

No, the earliest non-slothead Adamas 1 guitars also had the side bowl access door. |

that is a great book, i have the hardcover edition from the early 80s. this book is one reason why i am a vintage guitar fan. |
