And I'd love to have a black one. Too bad they're not offered here.

I wonder when the first ones will show up outside asia.

Best regards,
Kurt

This would have been the 2008 Collectors that I would have bought.

But with the black/gold binding of the 08C. The japanese ones have those simple, new black bindings. And the wideneck.

I wish my 08C had the broccoli. How much would it have added to the price if they'd designed it in?

At today's exchange rate that would be about $9,300. BUT ... I'm with you Moody on the blue one.

I'd bet you can order whichever one you want. And if you're not totally enamored with the features, I'm sure they'll be happy to change it for you. The Adamas corner of the factory is, after all, a custom shop. My little SSB slothead has become my primary A/E gigging guitar. The feeling of playing a custom ordered guitar with the exact features you want is wonderful. Call Al. It is less expensive than you'd think. Bvince estimates that with the current exchange rate it might be something like $9300 retail. My custom Adamas slothead through Al was less than half that, and I asked for some pretty pricey features.

Yeah, well my 08C from Al was way less than half of $9,300. He does some great deals and I don't want broccoli THAT much. Or do I ...?

I like the beige one.

I have played Brad's SSB slothead (I really like the neck profile). This was very reasonably priced for what Brad had built.

I had thought I would custom order an Adamas for my 50th birthday, but that isn't going to happen. The price to get exactly what I want is not really any more than buying one of the standard models that is close to what I would get, though I would probably succumb to buyer's frenzy and add a bunch of little extras that increase the final price.

Wide neck
walnut fret board
gloss LX neck
red reverse burst textured top
suspension ring
deep bowl
original patented pickup with 2 knob stereo FET preamp

The Ute doesn't have the suspension ring, but still sounds pretty good.

Slothead?
Maybe. Probably. It's all a pipe dream at this point.
