Joined: January 2002 Posts: 14127 Location: 6 String Ranch | While this doesn't count as a regular gig as you intended DB, this summer up north there was a regular circuit of open mics I went to, Wednesday at the Gypsy Joynt then Maragaritas, Thursday the Guthrie Center, Friday at La Salle's Market, and a few others thrown in for fun. Not really like a gig since you only get two or three tunes usually. The tricky thing was to keep a list of what I played where so as not to repeat, or to keep it to an intentional minimum. The second part was to never play the same guitar twice..... Or wear the same shirt........... Now the wiseass, but not really, second part is to stand or not. The honest answer is that some songs I do better sitting and some are better standing. Most songs sound best in my bathroom in Florida, but that's another issue...... | ||
