Damn. From Dengue fever (probably), no less. Monster North Shore waves couldn't do him in, but something so prosaic does. Cherish every moment.

Hey Muzz, your location is incorrect (unless Australia has decided to colonize Samoa).

It said he died in Texas on a layover... from a possible drug overdose no less. Sad.

RIP Andy.

Always wanted to give it a go but they don't have waves like that in Syracuse.

His death got a lot of coverage in the UK.

There again there are more freakin' ausssies in England than there are in Oz.

andy and his brother were both scammed out of a few million dollars by a mortgage broker who also arranged a mortgage for my condo on kauai. this guy scammed others also to the tune of $52,000,000 i think it was. the day he was due in court on kauai two years ago, it was discovered he drove himself off a cliff in washington state, where he was originally from. i had been directing an art gallery on kauai and this guy purchased several thousands of dollars in art from me. i had no idea he was playing with "funny money".

checkin' my facts, (which i shoulda done before posting) the mortgage broker (james lull) ponzi-schemed $30 million from about 50 people including the Irons boys. he was due in court in honolulu regarding this case the day he drove his truck off the cliff in washington.

Who kills themselves driving their car off a cliff? You could easily live and just be really messed up and in terrible pain for the rest of your life. AND get thrown in jail. I think he had secrets certain important people didn't want disclosed and a black suburban with government plates "accidentally" nudged him on a sharp curve.
