The individual components of the Rolling Stones classic Gimme Shelter have been deconstructed . They're not the original track masters, but close enough. Listening to KR's main track, I start to think maybe I don't suck at guitar quite as much as I think I do...

Seriously, it's really cool to listen to the individual tracks of a song you think you know so well. Gives me ideas and inspiration for some multitrack stuff I've been kicking around.

…and BTW G8r, you certainly don't suck at guitar, but even I can play guitar better than KR can sing lead… ;)

I love listening to stuff like that...it does give you inspiration that you could do something halfway decent if you just mix it properly

... I agree. Having a good MixMaster is a plus. A friend of mine did the same thing with The Beatles "Revolution".... the only individual part that didn't suck was Paul's bass lines... the rest was well below average.
