Location: Utah | This guitar gave me GAS at Alison's Black Hills jam last summer. I should have just bought it from her then, saving myself an airplane ride this weekend to go back to get it. It used to belong to Jewel's Mom, who brought it to Hot Springs. I played it a ton that weekend, and when it wasn't in my hands it was in Sara's.
Alison was kind enough to spend a few hours with me on Sunday to pick it up. We had a nice lunch at a local bar, and played a bit of guitar at the shop. Her new Adamas 1581 from Al is a joy to play and listen to. Alison played a few Christmas songs which she arranged most beautifully for guitar. She ought to record them.
I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to go to Hot Springs!

Location: Hanau, Hessen, Germany | I want one too. My reasons are not very patriotic, though. It's more the "1976" that would make it a perfect guitar for me (even without being a wideneck -the guitar, not me). Oh and btw Alison, my birthday is on February 20th ;) Shoot me a pm for my adress :D |

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | It was great to see Steve and play a little music. Lunch was "OK". We tried a new place that opened recently. As of now I can still say there really is nothing good to eat here.
But the company was good!
I'm really glad that this guitar went to a good home. When Karen told me it was the best sounding wood-top guitar I really doubted it could sound as good as my '81 Legend. But it does!
Meuti, if I had something I could spare, I would love to give it to you for your birthday so you could sing and play some of your beautiful songs on it. Alas, the only "spare" guitars I have right now are going up to the VA hospital as Christmas presents. I doubt you would really be interested in an old Kay or a Michael Kelly anyway... |
