I'm looking for a replacement machine head for my Viper. The plastic broke right at the mounting tab when it fell over during a show last night. I was wondering if anyone here has one lying around they'd be willing to sell me. The guitar is all original and I'd like to try and keep it that way.

I'm too!

Scott, what about your tuners for the Country-Artist, I've sent you the preamp for. I've a set now, if you are still in need, let me know.

I can probably help as well if KS can't. We just need to know which side the head goes on.

Bernie, the Country Artist went bye-bye. Didn't like it once it was up and running.

One of us is sure to have a tuner. Trust me, it's no fun searching for ONE lousy tuner and if I can spare you the grief, my junk box is open.

I'm at work right now, so I can't post a picture until later. It's the low E though, so it's on the top side of the headstock if your playing..

Yes, post a pic. I assume it's a typical 70s style, black plastic case, but they had a couple different mounting hole arrangements.

Here's a link to a picture of the broken low E tuner from my 70's Viper. The mounting tab broke off from the flat side of the gear casing.

I totally agree! This is the most friendly and helpful forum I have ever visited thanks to all the great members. They've single handedly made an Ovation fan out of me.
