I guess i thought that stuff was obvious sorry if i was not clear.

For anyone who didn't get to try the Adamas guitars at a Roadshow, they were excellent. Imagine a 1537 that's lighter and has a deeper bowl and you'd be pretty close to the WT Adamas.

But I had the same thought that isn't a wood-topped Adamas just a Custom Elite? Then I was reminded of the suspension ring. Also, I would think that the WT Adamas would have Adamas Bracing... Whereas everything nowadays seems to be leaning towards LX Scalloped X bracing.' (but I could be wrong, and the Roadshow WT I didn't get to look inside)

Ovation isn't stupid enough to prebuild guitars that they know are very pricey and will only appeal to a small handful of people. They certainly will not be heavily advertised or available in your local GC. I think they are already sitting on far too many of "those". The Wood Top Adamas is interesting (I own the 12-string one from the Roadshow) and probably their way of saying that they have ceased to build any more Ovation models in CT without actually coming out and saying it. You want a USA wood top roundback - Here it is. Hope this goes over well. It's an interesting time to be introducing a line of $3000. guitars.

I'm good with that. Other than the offshore models, it looks like the "bang for your buck" days are over. At every factory tour I've been to, Moody has jumped up during the Q&A sessions to suggest that Ovation isn't charging enough for their guitars. I guess they listened. Damn you Moody..... damn you!!

Even though it's in a guild press release, I believe Mando Bros. So for those who can swing it, the gits will be the usual excellent quality. http://www.guildguitars.com/index.php/media/newsletter/newsletter_1...
