This thing just floors me with how wonderful it sounds.
It sounds so much better than I expected it would.
I've never gotten to play an Adamas before and it's really amazing how much better it sounds than my O's.
I still love them but MAN, this thing is awesome.

Wood topped O's and graphite A's have different sounds. A great luxury in my life is that I'm able to play both, depending on my ear at any particular time. I won't say one is better than the other, just different.

Ain't choice grand?

I guess I shouldn't have said it sounds better than my O's.
It is different and it just really sounds great!
I'm glad I finally have an Adamas to add to the Ovations I am blessed with owning.
I'm a lucky guy.

It probably does.... for now.
Then, after a while, when you pick up one of those "old" guitars, you'll fall in love all over again.
Enjoy.
And know that you have now crossed "that line".
This will not be your last purchase.
You're doomed.

Congrats on your first Adamas Michael.

I don't think there's any harm in saying that YOU think your new acquisition sounds better than your wood-topped Ovations. The Adamas sound isn't for everyone, but I'm a big fan. Glad to hear you are enjoying your first ever Adamas experience.

Good luck with not adding more to the stable...

Thanks to all for the gongrats posts, I sure thank you and I sure am happy with this fine guitar.

Slip & Todd: I'd say I'm pretty safe from future purchases, I really have what I want from each style guitar now: steel/nylon string, six/twelve, Round hole/Elite, Deepie/Mid/Super Shallow bowl, full body/cut-a-way, Slot head/Standard head (I don't personaly like the Adamas Cauliflower anyway so I'm safe there), I have tow beautiful Collector's Series, I have a shiney bowl (though I still do want a shiney bowl nylon), a custom built Ovation, and now finally my Adamas.
The only thing I could imagine wanting to have on this Adamas that it oesn't have is Abalone inlays around the bowl and I'm sure that would be an expensive addition even if it could be done.

Mike, yeah we've definately got to figure out a weekend that is open for Loree and I to come there or you and your honey come here!

Congrats. My 597 is the all around guitar in the house. Its usually in the living room, right within my reach.

The first Adamas I ever played was one of those; I was just at the beginning of the shoulder issues, then, and even though I had the chance to buy it I decided to wait.
It did have a really nice sound, and I remember thinking then that someday I'd like to have one.
I'm so glad you've had the chance to get one--even though there's really only one flavor of ice cream for me (coffee) ;) , it's really nice to have different flavors in different cases! :D

Congrats Michael,
there was a thread here,I don't know the theme any more, but I remember that I posted back, that I love more the wood-topped guitars and someone asked me back, if I've had played an Adamas yet. Well, I didn't. For our book-tour in summer Meuti visited me here with his two Ute's. I played them both only a very short time and I don't get them out of my mind.
So I bought my first one in November, OMA thanks again for posting, the second is on it's journey from Al, thanks, too, and now I'll working on a third one (12-string). They are amazing sounding guitars.
