Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | We haven't seen a temp above 32 since before christmas. It's like living in an ice-box. Snow is mid thigh. I walk out to my garage thru a hallway of snow. No place else to put more snow on the driveway. I'm at capacity. Afraid what will happen if we have a quick melt in February, possible flooding. Roofs are collapsing. Skiing however has been most excellent! |

Spend two nights with a friend, about a mile from work. Much easier commute with the ice.
Got home to a solid ice "speed bump" at the end of my driveway, courtesy of our town snow removal team.
My guitar student and his mom came over Tuesday and shovelled while I was away, so I didn't have a whole driveway of ice to try to chop up tonight. It took a long time to get rid of the speed bump, though, and we have yet another storm predicted for Friday night/Saturday, with another 4 inches or so a possibility.
The house is staying at about 41% humidity, so the guitars all seem to be o.k. so far...but I am SO tired so shovelling...and shovelling...and shovelling...

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | It's a nice toasty 15 degrees here right now; black ice has caused some really nasty accidents. Only about 30 degrees tomorrow, but we're almost halfway through February, and that rodent-thing they dragged out of his burrow the beginning of the month didn't predict six more weeks of winter, so maybe...............(well, I can hope, can't I??) |
