Paul, I haven't seen the magazine yet. It's difficult for me to believe that they would feature her signature on the cover, and then do a negative review.

Have you seen the review?

Who mentioned anything about a negative review? Do you have inside information?

It's nice to see an Adamas on the cover but AG's reveiwers are a bunch of elitist cork-sniffers, and if it isn't made from Adirondazilion it will be met with feint praise at best. Betcha

I loved Kaki's response in her recent interview about how Ovations get no love, but when she puts her guitar in front of a mic in the studio the naysayers shut up.

It's not online yet, but here are a few quotes:

"...excellent craftsmanship..."

"...made at Ovation's flagship workshop, in New Hartford, Connecticut."

"...effortless to play chords and single-note lines up and down the neck, thanks to its silky low action and large frets."

"...has good response and ample headroom."

"...looks as smart as it sounds."

"Finger-picked cluster voicings sound especially nice, with the individual notes clearly discernible, and arpeggios ring together in smooth accord."

"...plugged into a Fender Acoustasonic, and with the preamp set flat, the instrument sounded tremendous---just as it did unplugged, but more massive, with a minimum of coloring."

"...the guitar will make a superb performing, recording and practicing companion for those into nontraditional design and able to afford a premium modern acoustic-electric."

I'm sure it sounds great, but I do NOT like the looks of that gasket epaulet.

In person I think it looks nicely feminine.

It would be cool if the last thing Kaman Music did before being sold to Fender was design a guitar with a helicopter engine gasket in it.

Because it's not a used one they can try to snag for pennies on the dollar, and then complain about how you can only find cheap imports in stores?

Maybe. Is this review solidly pro, or is it damning with faint praise?

Don't you need to go change a diaper or something?

The only negative I saw was "it won't appeal to every player" but the rest was almost gushing. Moody, send him your OFC and see if he likes it.
