The more I look at it though, the more I wish there was less black. I REALLY like that 3 piece back though. | ||

Consequently , I have an aversion to all of them, despite the fact that all are found on some seriously high end instruments. In fact, I have some of these things on my various guitars - except a sunburst top. | ||

Joined: July 2005 Posts: 3411 Location: GA USA | As far as the teardrop, it gives a definite Gibson look, and I'd say Gibson is the company that has it down perfect. If I were to be really picky, the teardrop on my Balladeer was the least bit lopsided, and Woody's has a bit of a funny look to it too. The VXT teardrops are good, but not much character to them. I see beautiful bursts (IMHO) on Les Pauls and Strats all the time. | ||
