Had his music on in the car this morning and that voice sends a chill through me (in a good way)

Agreed. About every two or three months, I have to watch his Black and White Night video. His back-up musicians and singers are headliners themselves.

I played Pretty Woman on an Ovation at an Open Mic on Monday. Wasn't planning on it, but there were some announcements running on the video boards in the bar about RO's 75th birthday and some commemorative releases ... so I went ahead and did my own little nod to his greatness. Drunken people love that song and make quite a tubercular choir.

Wow, he would have been 75. He's one of THE voices in rock'n' roll. Some of the arrangements were OTT but he got away with it. How was he as a guitar player?
