The 1537 has some fixable (I think/hope) issues. Below is a quick "before" snapshot of the new family members, (plus a close-up of the surprises I found when I took a close look at the bridge of the 1537.) I'll post "after" photos, eventually… I was not expecting the two bolt-holes in the bridge, nor the missing black end-cap of the saddle… but the top is perfectly flat, (no bellying) and electonics work… ???

I'm open to suggestions as to how to obtain a replacement for the black plastic clip on the end of the saddle…? Anyone have one they'd like to sell? If so, please PM me? With a little research, I've found quite a few photos of 1537's with wooden plugs covering bolts on the bridge just like the ones in the photo of mine above. Does anyone know if those are all post-production modifications or if the factory ever bolted on any bridges like that?

Anecdotal evidence suggests to me that the bolts are on the ones later in the run, at least in the corner of the world I've seen. What yr/sn is yours? Maybe they changed the spec partway through the run. Someone around here probably knows that answer.Does anyone know if those are all post-production modifications or if the factory ever bolted on any bridges like that?
