Didja notice how consistent the strum pattern was, how it was sung in key, and tempo was maintained? It's a rare and wonderful thing.

Yes... I did.
I find it very distracting and downright unlistenable when those qualitys are not there.
.
I find that recording myself is a useful tool to show me what I really sound like.
Sometimes I might only find one flaw in my delivery but fixing it makes the entire song sound more acceptable. Especially if I plan on posting them up on the various social sites.

But there are horrible American Idol singers who are completely DUMBFOUNDED when they fail their audition. THEY hear themselves and think they are great. Or their so-called friends keep telling them they are really good. What can you do?

American Idol is all about fitting the mold. True artists break the mold.

The reason I mentioned that is because I inadvertently hit a link around here somewhere and I think I watched it.
