I have been a fan of ovation especially the Adamas I 1687 for as long as i can remember. However, I am not an expert and i don't know much about their history.
I am in the process of thinking to pull the trigger
on this adamas 1687-8
but I'm a bit hesitant because it doesn't seem to have much information of its history. Judging by the headstock and the number on the back possibly, do you guys think this is a reissue? an older model? ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to ask fellow forumites..
Is the reissue "better" than the original? |

Location: Tennessee | That's a reissue. Some say they are better, others like the older ones. Either way, it's hard to go wrong. Go for it. |

Location: SoCal | I don't know where you could have found one for $1500, but that would have been an absolute steal! I would guess that for a new one you'd pay a bit more than that (but you'd also have a warranty. They are great guitars..... |
