Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the Melissa Etheridge (Model 1597 I believe) with the Adamas II 12 string (like the one currently for sale here for $1200)?
Any comments on the tonal quality of the two guitars.
I know the 1597 is very easy to play and sounds great but have always wanted to play an Adamas II (but never had the opportunity).

Location: Upper Left USA | Smooth tops like the 1597 are very, very nice!
Textured Tops are fantastic.
Differences are in how succeptable(sp) they are to the players technique. |

...Just kidding ... Like wood said... Textured tops are in a league of there own.
1597s are nice intruments also though.
SNAG THE ADAMAS II WHILE YOU STILL CAN! You won't be dissappointed! |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | For comfort and playability with amplification in a gig, nothing beats an SSB in my opinion. If your intent is to play primarily without amplification and size is not an issue, go for the ADII. Either way, I doubt you'd be disappointed. These are excellent guitars. |
