Thoughts on this model? The electronics? Thinking of it for my son.

When were they made?

Hello? *tap tap tap* is this thing on?

This guy is showing up in the morning to buy the Washburn HB30 and has this Custom Balladeer that he's wanting to trade for the Fender F-75

Can anyone give me insight on these things? I can't find much.

All I can say is that my 1612 CB was a stage vet that had 'opened' up and sounded great.

Would I buy another? I already have...

This 1712 was given the moniker "Dillinger". Apparently, somebody put 2 rounds of .22-caliber through the top & back. Geez, tough audience!
Anyrate, I repaired it, and it had a really big voice, as I recall. Played nice, too.
So, Damon, buy, trade, or finagle the deal. Nice guitars!

All I can tell you is that it is a blingier version of a regular old Custom Balladeer.

But I would just have him bring it and check it out.
I am admittedly bias, and have not been impressed by any Fender acoustic that I have played (total, Two)...

But if it is in good shape, I would much rather have the 1712.

The F75 is a cool lil made in Japan guitar from about '74-'75. ROsewood laminate back and sides and nice solid spruce top. rosewood veneer headstock with MOP inlaid Fender logo.

Retailed for about $375 in the 70's I think. We have an aftermarket pickup under the bridge with no electronics.

We'll check her out in the mornin' I spose.
