Location: 6 String Ranch | Basement cleaning time again. Thought this might interest someone here. Preecheur #5961, Natural fin, Viper pickups factory installed, (I don't know why). Missing a vol and tone knob. Everything else is there. Never really been played. Original case, it has that funk smell of being in a basement for years. I'll have the boys give it a once over before it goes out, make sure all is adjusted right and everything works. Maka me en offa. (I'll get around to ebay someday but we're family here so youse guys get first shot.) |

Location: Scotland | And as soon as that other Viper pickup gets across the pond from Paul M, it's going in a Breadwinner (Original BW humbucker at the bridge, Paul's Viper pickups middle & neck)
Preacher with Viper pickups..........I'm tempted |

Location: SoCal | If you buy it, see if you can get Bill to sign it. Shouldn't hurt the value of the guitar too badly.
That pickup should be there by Monday. It was airmailed a week ago. |

Location: Houston, TX | Couple questions...I have a Viper, would the sound be similar, with just a different feel on the neck? Also, how does the Preacher differ from the Preacher Deluxe? Is it active electronics, neck inlays, and gold tuners on the deluxe? Anything else? |

Location: Scotland | The Viper has a Maple body & neck, or Ash & Maple on earlier guitars. The Preacher is all Mahogany. The wood has a huge influence on the sound. Vipers are generally very bright sounding guitars, the Preachers sound warmer, this is a combination of tonewoods & pickups. I'd guess that a Preacher with Viper PUs would sound somewhere between the two.
The Preacher Deluxe is basically a fancy Preacher (bound neck, block inlays, gold hardware) with Deacon/BWinner circuitry. The 6-string version also has the series/parralel switches as found on the UK2.

Location: 6 String Ranch | Preecheur deluxe has the bdwnr/deacon active electronics. This one is just a plain passive guitar.
I thought of you Paul as soon as I opened this case!
It will sound slightly different than the viper, a shorter scale and mahogony neck and body. |
