Not in too bad shape really, a few nicks and bangs but nothing too bad really, looks to have been well played but not abused.
Neck looks straight frets have been dressed at some stage and a bit low but ok.
Its obviously an early one by the pups but the jack is in the pg not the body.
Missing the parts as stated, neck plate, battery cover, nut etc. Which I already had.
There must be different length neck mounting screws as the ones I had are a bit short, enought to assemble but I wouldn't string it.
My biggest concern is the pups.
The metal mounting plate on both pups has seperated from the pup itself. They were obviously glued originally but time has had its effect.
I havent had a chance to power em up yet to see if they work but other than the plates coming unglued they look ok.
Circuit board, switches, pots all look ok.
Suggestions, just an epoxy type glue?

You might want to put them together temporarily and make sure they're working properly before you permanently glue them with epoxy. Hot glue from a glue gun would do for that. It holds pretty well but can be removed.
If there are any plastic parts, look for an epoxy that is made to bond to plastic.
I've never seen one of these older pickups, but lack of knowledge has never stopped me!

Location: Utah | I don't think epoxy would hurt anything, but if it were me I'd use something undoable, like hot glue. That way in the future you can get back inside if the pups need repair. |

I hadn't thought of hot glue, makes good sense.
I will certainly make sure they work before I re glue them.
I have a set of the later BW pups if need be but that would require a new pg as they are smaller than these.
I would like to keep it as original as possible.
Iffy, what's RTV?
Is that Native American for chewing gum? :D

For some reason, hot glue doesn't seem to work very well. I use the Black Silicone RTV. It looks nice, fills in so there no vibrations.
I've tried double-sided sticky foam also, and I guess they just don't make it like they used to, cause I couldn't get the stuff to hold at all.

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | Try carpet tape. Its an 'industrial grade' double sided tape that sticks like shit to fur.
It will be as permanent as you want it to be. |

Location: Yorkshire, England | Jim, we have a product over here called 'No More Nails' - it will stick just about anything to anything, and they also produce a double sided tape version - do you have anything like that over where you are?

Location: Brisbane Australia | I got 2x 9v today, powered up the pups and plugged em in tonight.
All good, seems to make all the right noises when I bang em with a screwdriver( gently) lol.
Will use some Sikaflex silicone type stuff to secure the mount plates.

Location: NW Washington State | Another easy test is to hold a tuning fork (not aluminum) near the pickup. You can compare the output and sound to your other guitars.

I wasn't going to go due to my lack of guitar playing ability. But if you're going to travel all that way, I suppose I can make the 45 minute drive. The 4th is busy for me, but I'll probably stop by for a while on the 5th.
