Location: Baltimore, MD | VINTAGE OVATION LEGEND ACOUSTIC GUITAR
The serial number on this guitar is 1117-4, which according to Ovation’s manufacturing history, places its production circa 1970 – 1972. I am the original owner of this instrument having purchased it in 1972 or ’73. It still produces the same rich, deep tones Ovations are famous for and doesn’t show its age
This guitar is in EXCELLENT condition and comes with the original case
There are two minor nicks and no dents, scratches, or cracks on this instrument.
The fretboard is in average condition.
The only blemish is a slight pitting of the gold tuning machines (see photo).
This guitar is a must for the vintage guitar collector!!!
The case itself is in good condition showing average wear for its age.
The handle and locking mechanisms are intact and functioning.
The metal parts are slightly tarnished from age and one of the standing supports is misaligned.
I’m selling this guitar because I have switched to bass and have not played it for a while. I hate to let it go but this guitar needs to be played!!

No doubt your's is a good guitar. But the 1117-4 is the model number and indicates that it is a Legend (not a Balladeer) with a natural finish on the face. Look up in the guitar by the neck and you'll find the seriel number which indicates that time of manufacture.
This is the last time I correct this kind of mistake. Somebody else do it next time. |
