I have a chance for a swamp ash bodied, triple pups and jumbo frets. Any inputs from the OFC 'hive'?

Also, pros/cons on jumbo frets... I've never played on any.

I only own Apaches, Navajos, and Blackfeet. Comanches are a lazy bunch.

Seriously, what's a Comanche, or are you going to make me google it?

"Handcrafted perfection.
The Comanche Electric Guitar has a swamp ash body (alder on opaque finishes) with a gorgeous figured maple top. One-piece bird's-eye maple neck is incredibly well-finished; a tinted gloss gives it a vintage vibe and a glasslike smoothness. Jumbo frets make it amazingly easy to play. Deluxe guitar hardware includes a dual-fulcrum bridge and Schaller locking tuners. 3 MFD Z-coil pickups deliver excellent, clear, cutting tones.

G&L Comanche Electric Guitar Features:

Figured maple top
Bird's-eye maple neck
Schaller locking tuners
G&L dual-fulcrum bridge
MFD Z-coil pickups
25-1/2" scale
1-5/8" nut width
G&L Comanche Electric Guitar Includes:

molded case"

Although that is not a strat, and it looks very yummy, it still has knob placements same as the strat, so I'd be out on that one.

I've had a couple of the Comanches. G&L makes great guitars, and that's one of the models I liked most. It's definitely a SuperStrat.

I prefer the ASAT's but the Comanche I played sounded good enough that it almost made me buy it

Great guitar in all respects. Only issue is that the neck may be narrow for you. If you like that width neck, go for it.

PS I like the jumbo frets.

Thanx for all the inputs!

The gent is very 'proud' of his git and his price IMO is too high. So I'm going to wait and see if he can move it.

Again, thanx.

Just thought I'd mention here that the "L" in G&L is Leo, as in Leo Fender. This was his next guitar building project after he sold Fender to CBS and waited out his non-compete. Most say that he used all his lessons learned to build even better guitars.
