I've put my Glen Campbell 12 String out on EBay. Here is a link if you're interested.

My Glen Campbell 12-String

I am the original owner. I bought it in 1974. It is in very good condition.

Good luck with the auction, Bradley. I just sold my CS255 dirt-cheap, but I too had to contend with spousal harmony. Actually, I was wondering where you found that spiffy-lookin' guitar stand; appears to be light, strong, and well-engineered!

Got the stand from The Music Center in Kenosha, Wi. Its a nice stand and my Ovation fits in it!

I hope my GC-12 doesn't go for dirt cheap. I had it for almost 30 years.

Well, you paid what for it, $450 30 years ago? Even if it went for $300, then you only paid $5 per year for tremendous enjoyment. I'd call that dirt cheap fun.

What are your children worth when they leave home? Hmmmmmmm......maybe not the right analogy.

Hey Bradley, I see you relisted the 12-string. What happened to the original trussrod cover? Did it come with a plain cover? Never opted to get a "signed" version? I swear, this issue of selling vintage Ovations is really "casting pearls before swine" to anyone other than this enlightened assemblge!! I persevered with my three sales, and am reasonably satisfied with the collective outcome. If you relist the instrument several times, perhaps your treasured bride will give you absolution, and your 1118 a stay of venue.

seesquare,

The original neck broke in 1980 and Ovation put a new neck on. They put a new set of tuners on (the original tuners where gold plated) and they didn't put the signed truss rod cover back on. At the time I was just happpy that they covered 1/2 the repair cost to complain. I wish I would have asked for the signed truss rod cover back.

I just sold a Glen Campbell 6 string. I considered swapping truss rod covers with my 12. Oh well...

So far, not 1 bid.
