Hey I got my Black GP FINALLY this Wednesday, and me friend found an old ghetto Gibson case that works perfect for it...but another question...It has the bronze colored Gibson knobs on it...I would like to track down some creme colored ones that I believe were stock on em if I'm not mistaken... Any ideas? I have yet to get through to Ovation... Thanks!

Josh

PS. My toggle switch is flipped (so up is bridge pos. and down is neck) It's kinda cool, I may not switch it, but that's not the way yours are, are they?

You can get cream colored knobs at stewmac.com and most other guitar parts dealers.

Once again I have the knowledge you seek -

StewMac doesn't offer Gibson style creme knobs. But for some kick ass creme knobs go with the ones Dimarzo sells - I think they were the stock ones anyway.

For speed knobs the part number is:

DM 2100

For bell knobs the part number is:

DM 2101

Either way the knobs are $3.50 each list. I'm a speed knob guy myself. You'll have to do a phone order since you can't seem to order on Dimarzio's website. Just call 'em up, give 'em the part number, tell 'em how may you want, what color, and payment and shipping info.

As far as PUP wiring, mine are all standard - down for bridge and up for neck.

Dude, I should learn html and start a GP site or something. Have a FAQ section, an owners section, a gallery, a links section (one back to the OFC naturally), and of course a message board.

Or I can just show up here every now and again and answer questions. More than likely that's what'll end up doing. God, what a lazy prick.

Icky saves the day! Yup - StewMac only has Strat style cream knobs. Dave

Hey Icky, much thanks. I'm all about the speed knobs myself... Thanks for all the help...I'm so ecstatic I finally got my hands on one! I'm sure I'll have another question or two down the road...

Glad I could help. Wish there was someone like me when I got me first GP. Actually I'm more bummed there's a black GP out there that I didn't get my hands on. You lucky bastard! :) Enjoy!

DMZ was the original supplier of knobs.
