I once had an identical model and have been looking for the past 3 weeks or so for another (playable) one to perhaps purchase. This is the ONLY charcoal 1281 I have seen the entire time. Any info would be appreciated and yes, this message is rather babbly.....lol

It looks great hanging on the wall, but the truth is that the real condition is: Headstock is broken off and repaired with crazy glue, all electronics have been gutted except for some dummy pots and switches and underneith the pickguard is a big bolt drilled right through the body which attaches it to the wall. I'd LOVE to sell you this guitar but you would be sadly disappointed. Plus it looks so good hanging on my wall. The pity is that the charcol color is pretty rare. I thin it looks great with the black neck. I've seen one or two pop up on ebay in the past so maybe you will find one. Dave PS - "I, I, I wanna be a lifeguard... " Some members will have NO friggin idea what that means, right Mr. Blotto?

But they are usually the nutmeg, blonde, or black color. It's only the Charcol Grey that seems to be the rare one. I saw one time a Charcol Grey in the Preacher Deluxe model. That one was really nice. Dave

This is a very clean guitar and will make someone quite happy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2570768681 It's got a "Buy It Now" of $400. If anyone on this board wants to pull the trigger for the "Buy It Now", I'll ship it free of charge anywhere in the US 48 states. Dave

Someone will pay $2k for a GP, but nobody thinks this minty Preacher is worth a measly reserve of $375 ??? OK, here is my last ditch offer before I turn this one into another piece of Wall-Art. $375. for guitar and case and I'll ship it to you in the USA for free. Willing to trade for a Golden Retriever that enjoys listening to Ovation guitars. Dave P.S. About the Paul T. signature model - It's a known fact that Paul sweats like a pig in heat. So presumably any guitar with heavily tarnished hardware could pass as one of his personal collection.
