Good luck stonebobbo. You can join the VB club! I've been playing mine (allthough it hasn't had it's official stage debut) and it's really nice.

Always gets the comments "That's pretty!!"

hi Tony,

i have to say what a lovely instrument my viper is. I got it checked out when it arrived and i must give credit to the guys at Vitage it was in absolute immaculate condition. Even the case had no scratches on it. I have just posted about the best strings to use any ideas??

Chris

PS if there anyone out there thinking of getting the viper bass then i strongley reccomend you do. I had to pay $975 for mine so very good price

Relisted.

Maybe you can get it for the bid you made the last go round, stonebobbo.

Right around the same price I got mine for....

I put D'Addario Slowound's (SW2000 I want to say) on mine. I might try the lighter gauge next time.

I've played my friend's Ibanez bass with smooth strings and the played the Viper on back-to-back songs in rehearsal. The Viper is a lot more "crisp" thean the Ibanez, I crank the treble all the way down. I'm new at bass playing so really haven't messed around to much with the amp settings and all. I've set it to what seems to work in our band for now. I can get a much better slide sound from the Viper than the Ibanez (could be the strings).

One thing I do appreciate about the Viper is it is a lot lighter, playgin standing up and all...
