Help?
Wheres the best place to find out the market value for this blonde thunderhead?
I want to sell it but on visiting three main guitar shops in the UK they have all given me different advice from it being very collectable to not collectable as a Gibson 335 and I should basically try and give it away!

I am so confused. No one seems to know the proper value of it?

So could someone please at least give me a proper idea of the market value of this model?

i didnt know this ovation fan club was around until tonight when I did a search for thunderhead info. Its a very good idea.

Yours in appreciation.

Sean

Sean:

I've seen them go for a low of $400 to a high of $1000. Watch ebay (there was one for sale in the UK there just recently) and search the archives on this site.

I paid $300 for mine. The last one I saw in the UK was in Denmark St at £1200. I traded a Tornado recently for an Elite, which is probably worth around £7-800 in the UK, so a Thunderhead should be worth a little more. What you have to remember is that rarity does not necessarily make a guitar valuble. Storms are very rare in the UK, but the market couldn't care less about them. £4-500 is about right. Going rate in the USA is between around $150 & $400, but they can go for more. Good luck
