Location: San Pedro, CA | FOR SALE ON eBAY - This is a deep-bowl, nutmeg-colored Ovation (serial number 135922), made in Connecticut. A special edition release called the Legend Ltd., it has: a Sitka Spruce AAA top with Ovation’s A-bracing; a slim-tapered Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard and Ivory binding; a 5-piece Walnut/Maple neck inlay; Walnut headstock; 24k Gold-plated tuners; diamond-shaped Pearl MOP fretboard inlays; and an Abalone Shell inlaid rosette in an oak leaf pattern. The electronics involve an under-saddle piezoelectric pickup with tone and volume in a single POT, and separate mono and stereo jack inputs. All original pre-amp is affixed inside the shell with an exterior lock-screw.
Both the guitar and case are in very good condition, with less-than-normal wear for its age. There is a hardly noticeable ding at the very top of the headstock where the finish is chipped, but the wood is not dented. There are also a few facial scratches seen only in angled lighting. The stereo-jack has been disconnected, but the mono-jack works just great. The original brown hard case is included, with only a few cuts and scuffs on the exterior, and has a near-mint interior.
