Location: Pacific Northwest Inland Empire | Probably because it saved them some initial work on the soundboard (planed, sanded, rosette). I'm assuming there was a need to replace the top, also. Referring to this instrument as a "Marvation" is being a bit generous; they were only the source for materials, not assembly. Actually, I commend the project for keeping an "O" alive, and talkin'!! Might be interesting to find out if they altered the bracing, or other innovations, from the original design. |
