Let's assume the guy meant $410. This guitar is NOT the original '68 Glen Campbell Balladeer (I would know 'cuz I own one). This is the second generation version which has textured bowl, artist depth, add-on rosette, 3rd generation bridge and shallower headstock angle. It's a nice guitar but it's not the collectable one. The Buy It Now price has got to be a typo. Dave

Wow, bids are over $600. and reserve not met. Maybe the BIN price is not a typo after all. At least nice to see somebody appreciates a nice guitar. I have an identical one that I figured was worth $300-$400. Maybe I need to think about selling it. Dave

I e-mailed the seller, and she really wanted $4100 for it!! I then e-mailed her a recent e-bay link where a '71 GC AB in near mint cond. went for $350.

She sent me back a desperate message that if I could wire here $600 by Monday morning (yesterday), the guitar was mine. She said she had to have money by Monday. I felt for her situation....but I wasn't touching that deal (though $600 for a very early mint GC AB I think is not bad.)!

I just hope and pray that $350 is a more realistic barometer of fair market value than what her auction is already up to (eventhough her reserve still isn't met yet). If it's not, then I just screwed myself BIG-TIME, because I'm the guy that sold the '71 GC for $350!!!

Not that Gruhn Guitars necessarily reflects true market value, but I've seen George get $750 easily for them ('68-'72 vintage). I swear, I'm not trying to rub it in!
