For a while there it seemed like there'd be one for sale on ebay about once every 3 weeks. No one selling them anymore? The fad has ended? They were going for ridiculous amounts too. Is it all over?

I hope so. Maybe now i can get one at a reasonable price.

Anyone out there have a nice wine one?

They aren't gonna get any cheaper. I bought the first one that was up in the series of 3 that were just on ebay. The thing was totally mint. I doubt you are gonna see any GP on ebay for a while, let alone a mint one. And, all that means is, more people are going to jump on it. It only takes 2 people who really want the guitar to skyrocket the price. I kinda got pissed cuz this guy from Germany kept bidding me up when the auction clearly said US bidders only.

Hey its's me the guy who sold the GP. GregDK did email me first to ask for permmision to bid, and of course I said yes. Glad to see you found the fan club site. These guys here are full of Ovation knowledge. To: Zoezoner all I can say is I dought they will come down at all. There's just not enough of them, and no one what's to sell there's. Finding a clean one will be a task. The one Benjamin Lee got was sweet. Incase anyone dosen't know I have a nice 1619 custom on eBay right now. Another good find!

hehe, it doesn't matter, I don't care what I paid for the GP. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. This thing is now with me for life. I really haven't touched any of my other guitars for months because the GP just blows them all away.

Btw...ickygoo, hehe, I noticed you kept scrounging up all the oldschool Super2's on ebay. Hehe, bidding at like 5 a.m. eastern time...

but you missed a pair!

Damn! I knew I was neglecting my duties! BTW I'm not always doing the bidding, sometimes I let a computer do it for me. :D

thanks for the help john and travis ;)
I found out that I'm not the only one in germany who got that pearl of instruments. a guy from denmark who is living in hamburg has also one.

hehe I think ickygoo is preparing himself for the reissue of the gp's. so he'll need all the super2's

last week I had a "sound-fight" with some other guitarists. the question was which guitar is sounding best. there was a gibson les paul custom, prs custom 24, gibson marauder, fender fat tele and the gp. now now guess which one won ;)
