It's the best 12 string guitar Ovation ever made. As to value, the market value flucuates depending on a lot of factors. It could sell on the open market for anywhere between $1600-$2500.

I am not an expert like most of the rest of these guy's on this site, but I have been pursuing one of these for a few months and I can speak from this experience. This is the going price on these. Another thing to consider is, these signed copies will always have this kind of value as long as they are playable and in good shape. Look at it as an investment as well as an unique instrument. The sound is enchanting. It's the perfect chord guitar. By the way good choice to look at this site If you ever have questions these guy's are the place to go! Ovation guitars have an interesting history. Considering they are a relatively new product they have a die hard following and a solid collectors value already! Good Luck and Don't panic (I have) They come up on Ebay from time to time and we have a Guy who has a wonderful site He get's these from time to time as well. Through him you will be buying a guitar from a professional who does not sell junk or guitars with hidden problems. I know this from experience as well. Look him up if you haven't already? He is the sponser listed to the left of these messages (Lost Art/Vintage Instruments) and will most likely be the guy who will help you find one in the future if you do not get this one. Hope I have not overstepped my Boundries here? I am new to this list.

Again, price wasn't a consideration but if you buy elsewhere - it will cost you more! by the way, he has a great, great price on a demo burgandy 1777 LX.

The worst you could do is earn the DA of the Hour award (I'm sure I've had this honor before). If you do just wait awhile and someone else will steal it from you. When I first came on I was excited about a new Celebrity Purchase. I quickly moved up to make an Elite LX purchase. NOW I'm hearing that this 1688 Adamas is the epitomy of chord strumming 12 strings. So I hit the net to research and Wow! I've gotta go look and see what I can go sell off! Like Goober says; "G-A-A-A-S again"!
