Location: SoCal | Brownie, his 56 Strat, on which he recorded Layla, was sold in 1999. Alomst half a million bucks. He didn't sell Blackie at that time. |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | Perhaps EC is realizing his own mortality. Since one cannot take guitars along at death, selling them now for a worthy cause at least sends some good ahead.
I saw Eric Clapton live in a small club outside of Chicago in 1968. It was the first American tour for Cream. It ruined me.... |
