I am trying to get a gauge the value of a brand new T357 (with case). That alone would not be difficult to determine but the twist is that this guitar was signed by all members of Fleetwood Mac at a recent concert.

Does anyone have an idea of what this guitar might be worth?

Thank you in advance for your help.

There's no way of knowing the value. It would only have an increased value to either a collector of music memorabilia or to a fan of Fleetwood Mac. I would guess that to a guitar player, who would be buying a guitar to use, the signatures wouldn't hold any value and might even drop the value down.

The place to ask questions like this would be at a Fleetwood Mac website, or some sort of music meorabilia website.

So hard to tell...we see guitars on eBay with someone's signature...the fact that it is the group may add something.

On eBay, there is a pickguard with Les Paul's signature on it for about $45. Yet, last year Les Paul gave (yes gave) me a Studio on which he signed "To Tony, keep pickin' Les Paul" Appraisal added $10,000 due to his age (89) and message. Priceless to me. However, I suppose I would have to find someone named Tony to get any real value from it.

My daughter recently "won" an auction at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - a Brittany Spears autographed Epiphone for $1,000 that also had the inlaid Hall of Fame logo. Some have suggested she figure out how to remove the signature. Resale? Probably the end result will be a fun guitar, conversation piece, and a partial charitable contribution on her taxes. Yet, there was a late bid, not accepted, of $4,500.

The only thing that I find MORE incredulous that Brittney Spears has anything to do with Epiphone is that she has anything even REMOTELY to do with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

Vapid Bimbo Hall of Fame . . . . maybe . . .

Cliff,
The Only Reason Brittney Sprears was at The R&R hall of Fame is simple....
T&A...T&A...T&A

And your problem with T&A is....?

I have no problem with BS's T&A. It's her music that sucks.

Signed guitars values are dependant soley on the the person seeing the ad for the guitar at any given moment. To a Fleetwood Mac fan, that plays guitar and has too much money on their hands... the sky is the limit. It has nothing to do with talent or the quality of the instrument when the right fan gets in a shopping frenzy.

Thank you for your feedback.

You're comments validate what I was guessing was the answer--no true way to quantify value. However, my guesses were based on having no knowledge of the acoustic electric guitar market.

While some comments were a little far afield regarding Brittany, I found them pretty amusing and unbelievably accurate.

Thank you all again.

Your welcome.

I happen to think that the comments regarding BS were also unbelievably accurate.

We try to spread truth in all areas.
