I just found a '97 collectors in good condition. Plays great, sounds amazing, I say good condition because it has a few scratches, the binding is chiped at one point and it looks like either glue or some attempt to gloss the neck around the top of slot head, but nothing terrible. But no case! All I hear about here is how wonderful the case is! What's it worth without the case?

Recently, mint to very good condition ones with cases have been going for about $700. The case is definately worth $150. I'd take another $150 off for the cosmetic things you mention. So, if you can get the guitar for $400 or less, that's probably about right, in my opinion.
