I have a '77 Custom Balladeer in near mint condition that I've decided to sell. This one has the older foil Ovation label inside and the five piece neck. It plays and sounds incredible. There are no cracks of any kind in the top and the top is flat with no ripples around the bridge. I call it "near mint" because it has three very small and very minor shallow dings in the top. One is about 1/4'' long and the other two are the size of a pin head. They are not noticeable unless you really look for them. This guitar is all original. It has the original piezo pick-up with pre-amp and volume control and the electronics work perfectly. The frets and fingerboard show minimal wear. It also has a custom made brass nut which helps to inhance tone, volume and sustain. This is a guaranteed no problems guitar. It has the Ovation modified X-bracing and sounds great acoustically. It has a natural top and the grain of the solid spruce is really remarkable. The original case is included which functions very well but has its fair share of major and minor dings from 27 years of use. The four latches are intact and working, the case closes evenly, and the interior of the case is perfect. Once you open the case you will be astounded by the condition of this guitar. The action at the 12th fret is a perfect 3/32" and there are still two factory shims left under the piezo saddle. Send me an email message at mlidowsky@viders-wiesen.com and I'll send you photos. Price-$320 plus actual UPS insured ground shipping which is about $25 for the east coast and $35 for west coast.
