I think I have to go with Gibson strings being it's a Gibson guitar. But yeah, kinda sounds better but I really can't tell cuz the strings I put on them are so crappy compared to whatever was previously on it. More to come on the Dimarzio Super 2's. That's only part of the equation though. When you play a GP with your amp off, you hear those strings and truly understand why the guitar sounds good. Although, I'm probably convinced the Super 2 is the best pickup, I'm sure a GP would sound more than amazing with a different pickup.

If I ever decided to sell it I wanted to sell it with the super2's. The original Super2's in my GP were removed and lost long ago. I've had a few different pups in it since then, I had duncan custom/custom in the nec with a custom(maybe) in the bridge. They were nice, but ended up in a project guitar. I also had a set of Rio Grande Bastards in it, ripping p-90 tones - but too noisy for me. I currently have a set of Peter Florence Voodoo '60s in it. They are really amazing pickups. One thing all the pickups had in common was they were all really warm, really fat sounding in the GP. Must be that wonderful body with the set neck.
